Security Risk Assessments
Security risk assessments provide a detailed investigation and review of security systems and procedures within healthcare facilities. They are undertaken to determine if security measures and systems meet, exceed or fall short of the nominated benchmarks described in Department of Human Services guidelines and the relevant Australian Standards.
The assessments are structured in accordance with Australian Standard 4485 – Security for Health Care Facilities and are used to check the current adequacy of systems, measures and procedures, report on the expected performance and make recommendations to increase the safety of staff, patients and visitors to the facility.
